Azerbaijan’s main travel gateway is Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport, 25km from the city centre. There are direct flights to Istanbul, London, New York, Frankfurt, Paris, Budapest, Vienna, Doha, Dubai, Tehran, Beijing, Riga, Kiev, Tashkent and Moscow plus as several more cities in Russia and Central Asia. The flag carrier is Azerbaijan Airlines, but other major carriers include Aeroflot, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and many more.
